The maintenance process of angular contact ball bearings

Angular Contact Ball Bearings bear both radial and axial loads. Can work at high speed. The larger the contact Angle, the higher the axial bearing spindle bearing capacity.

The contact angle is the angle between the contact points of the ball and the raceway in the radial plane and the vertical line of the bearing axis. High precision bearing and high speed bearings usually take 15 degrees of contact Angle. Under axial force, the contact angle will increase.

When the bearing runs to a certain period of time (or maintenance period), all the bearings are removed;

Soak the bearing with diesel oil or kerosene for cleaning, and open the seal cover for cleaning if technical conditions are available;

Air dry cleaning oil after cleaning, appearance check whether there is damage;

Use a 150mm or so, the diameter of angular contact ball bearing with the same diameter of the wooden rod (preferably hollow pipe), one end fixed a bearing;

While rotating the bearing quickly by hand, put the other end of the stick (wooden pipe) on the ear or audio amplifier microphone to listen to the rotating noise of the bearing;

After fixing the bearing, move the wooden rod horizontally to check whether the bearing is worn and loose;

FAG bearings with serious loosening, excessive rotation noise and serious defects should be eliminated and replaced by the same type;

Melt the proper amount of grease (high-quality yellow dry oil) in a bucket with gentle fire (do not overheat), and soak the tested bearings in the bucket until no bubbles overflow. Take out the bearing before grease cooling, and the residual grease is small. After cooling the grease, take out the angular contact ball bearing, and the residual grease is large. Determine how much residual grease is required.

Wipe the grease outside the bearing with a soft cloth or toilet paper and assemble the FAG bearing on the pulley in its original state, and the maintenance work is over.
