Motor bearing temperature regulation, abnormal causes and treatment

Rules stipulate that the maximum temperature of rolling bearing shall not exceed 95℃, the maximum temperature of sliding bearing shall not exceed 80℃, and the temperature rise shall not exceed 55℃ (the temperature rise is the bearing temperature minus the environmental temperature during the test);

Causes and treatment of the high-temperature rise of bearing

(1) Reason: the shaft is bent and the centerline is not correct. Processing; Find a new center.

(2) Cause: The foundation screw is loose. Treatment: Tighten the base screws.

(3) Reason: lubricating oil is not clean. Treatment: replace oil.

(4) Cause: the lubricating oil has been used for a long time and has not been replaced. Treatment: wash the bearing, replace the lubricating oil.

(5) Cause: The ball or roller in the bearing is damaged. Treatment: replace the new bearing.

According to the national standard, grade F insulation grade B examination, the motor temperature rise is controlled at 80K (resistance method), 90K (element method). The maximum operating temperature of the motor should not exceed 120/130 degrees, taking into account the ambient temperature of 40 degrees. The maximum allowable bearing temperature is 95 degrees. The temperature of the bearing’s outdoor surface is measured with an infrared detection gun. Empirically, the highest temperature of the 4-pole motor cannot exceed 70 degrees. For the motor body, no monitoring is required. After the motor is manufactured, under normal circumstances, its temperature rise is basically fixed, and will not change or increase with the operation of the motor. The bearing is a wearing part and needs to be tested.
